Barefoot in the rain

A dark stained deck covered with tiny puddles of rain water

A rainy afternoon poem

My searing heart,

My scorching heart,

Walks in the torrent

And finds relief,

Barefoot in the rain

A dark stained deck covered with tiny puddles of rain water. In the background are seen green rolling hills.

My singing heart,

My dancing feet,

Move to the rhythm

Of the falling rain drops,

Barefoot in the rain

A dark stained deck covered with tiny puddles of rain water. In the background are seen green rolling hills.

My dreaming eyes,

Their shining hope,

And that ever despondent smile,

Barefoot in the rain

A dark stained deck covered with tiny puddles of rain water. In the background are seen green rolling hills.

Cool water underfoot,

Rainbow colored dreams within,

Drifting in the breeze,

Barefoot in the rain
